About the Program (For Applicant Reference)

WIF India, in collaboration with impACT Lab – Marché du Film, will select two women PRODUCERS ONLY from India to participate in the impACT Lab, taking place during the Marché du Film, Cannes (13–18 May 2026).

  • Online workshops:
    • 2 sessions
    • Late April / Early May 2026: 21 April (Tuesday), 28 April (Tuesday) and 5 May (Tuesday) India Time 5:30 pm IST 
    • 2 hours each
  • In-person workshops in Cannes:
    • 3 sessions (Between 15-18 May 2026)
    13–18 May 2026 (Possibility to attend Producers’ Network, first come first served basis for breakfast meetings)

This is an exclusive, closed program curated for 10 international producers.
Selection from India is only through WIF India.

Producers Network Access

The two selected producers will also receive exceptional access to the Producers Network (13–18 May 2026), including:

  • Daily Breakfast Meetings with international industry decision-makers

  • Producers Network opening cocktail

  • Closing party

  • Case studies, networking cocktails, and workshops at the Producers Club

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have produced a minimum of two short films and provide viewing links (with passwords where applicable). Candidates should be currently developing their first feature-length film and submit a single consolidated pitch deck including the director’s note, producer’s note, synopsis, treatment (max 15 pages), budget, and short film links.

Applicants must upload the feature film script (first page with SWA registration stamp) and confirm they have not previously attended Marché du Film, Cannes in any capacity.

Applicants should also demonstrate a clear intent to pursue international co-production and a commitment to sustainable independent filmmaking.

Project Financing (Optional but Recommended)

Applicants may share details of the current financing status of their feature film project, including whether any funding has been secured and the sources of financing, if applicable. Applicants may also indicate the approximate percentage of financing secured (recommended minimum 20%, not mandatory).

Pursuant to my application to you, I acknowledge, agree and confirm the following:

  1. That any and all materials, including any and all literary materials or other such materials as created/provided by me are wholly original, and the same is not infringing or violating any right including but not limited to copyright, moral right, privacy right, publicity right or any other rights whatsoever, of any person, whether living or dead, or any entity. Further, I confirm and undertake that I am the sole and absolute owner/author of such materials as submitted to you and consent of no other party/entity is required in respect of the same and the materials as submitted by me are free from any and all claims, encumbrances, lien, etc.
  2. I undertake the complete responsibility and accountability of the materials provided by me. I agree that you are not required to conduct nor have not conducted or undertaken any independent investigation or due diligence in relation to any of the materials provided by me and I shall at no time invoke your knowledge (actual, constructive or imputed) with respect to a fact or circumstance or claim in respect of any of the materials provided by me, anytime in perpetuity.
  3. The said application is made by me out of my free will and you have not approached me to submit the aforesaid application and/or the materials authored by me.
  4. I acknowledge that you shall not be liable under any circumstances in respect of any claim for loss of opportunity, if any, including in case my materials are not selected for the Global Conference Programme in TIFF 2025. I understand and acknowledge that submission of materials does not guarantee selection for Global Conference Programme in TIFF 2025, nor does it imply any promise of success, recognition, or future opportunity. You shall have no liability whatsoever in the event my application is not accepted or my project is not selected.
  5. I acknowledge that You may already (a) have received (b) developing materials by yourself or pursuant to submission by a third party; or (c) in development of; in either case, a similar concept or idea or story to the one that I wish to submit herein, and accordingly I shall at no time make any claim (monetary or otherwise) against you, in regard to any violation of any copyright, intellectual property right and/or any other right in connection to the materials/work submitted to you.
  6. I agree and understand that you shall bear no responsibility for the loss, leak, theft, or damage of any materials submitted by me, whether in digital or physical form, at any stage of the application or evaluation process or during and after the event, in perpetuity.
  7. You shall not be held liable nor I (including my heirs/successors/assigns) shall make any claim against you for any changes to the program, selection process, jury members, dates, format (physical, hybrid, or virtual), or cancellation of the application or the evaluation process or related events, due to any circumstances.
  8. I confirm that that I am an adult i.e, above the age of 18 years and of sound mind while submitting my application.
