About the Opportunity

The Producers Network Breakfast at the Marché du Film, Cannes Film Festival is a curated platform designed to connect producers with international partners, collaborators, and industry leaders.

This scholarship is aimed at mid-career women producers from India who are looking to expand their international co-production opportunities and market access.

Selected participants will attend the Producers Network Breakfast at Cannes Film Festival, 13-18 May 2026.

The one-stop-shop for global film production!

Launched in 2003, the Producers Network has grown to be a trusted platform that welcomes over 370 producers from around the globe each year. Our famed series of breakfast meetings are designed to spotlight each one of our Presenting Partners, while also showcasing the extraordinary work of their most promising producers. This is an unparalleled opportunity to broaden your professional network, discover co-production possibilities, and transform your film projects from concept to reality.

Eligibility Criteria

– Be a woman producer with a valid Indian passport

– Have produced or co-produced at least one theatrical release (feature or documentary) in the last four years

– Be currently developing a feature film project that will be submitted or presented at the programme

– Be available to attend the Producers Network Breakfast at the Marché du Film during the Cannes Film Festival between 13–18 May 2026

Application Requirements

Applicants will be required to submit:

– Producer’s bio (maximum 150 words)

– Filmography (IMDb link or personal website only)

– Details of the current project (title, genre, language, fiction/non-fiction)

– Project logline

– Stage of development (development/scripting, mid-filming, post-production, or completed and ready for release)

– Statement of purpose outlining why they wish to attend (maximum 150 words)

– Optional: Pitch deck / project deck (PDF)

– Proof of release of the film commercially released in the last four years (mandatory)

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

– Producer’s track record

– Strength and originality of the current project

– Potential for international co-production and market positioning

– Clarity of the producer’s vision and next steps

– How participation in the Producers Network could benefit the project

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by an internal curation committee and will select the most compelling projects that also have synergy with the program from Women in Film India. Selected producers will be notified following the review process.

Terms & Conditions

The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the programme, timelines, or selection process at its sole discretion.

The Organizer’s decision with respect to selection of participants shall be final and binding, and no correspondence or justification shall be provided.

Selected participants shall be responsible for obtaining necessary travel documents, including visas, unless otherwise expressly stated.

Participation in the programme may require adherence to additional guidelines, codes of conduct, or agreements as may be communicated by the Organizer.

The Organizer may use the Applicant’s name, likeness, project title and submitted non-confidential information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in connection with the programme, without any additional compensation.
